A beautiful community nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwest Virginia, the city of Wytheville combines small-town friendliness and outdoor living with easy access to several nearby major metropolitan areas. History buffs will enjoy the many historical sites of the city, including Rock House Museum, Thomas J. Boyd Museum, Wytheville Heritage Museum, and the Stephen F. Austin Memorial. For entertainment, take in the Chautaugua Festival and the state-of-the-art, German-themed Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theatre. Sponsored by the Wythe Arts Council, the festival is an annual source of entertainment, enjoyment, and education with arts, crafts, music, hot air ballooning, magic, drama, dance, and nightly entertainment. Educational opportunities are available through Wytheville Community College and a satellite location of Old Dominion University.
