A suburb of Phoenix, Goodyear's the 3rd fastest-growing city in Arizona and is the spring training home for the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds. Goodyear received the All-America City award in 2008 from the National Civic League. Established in 1917 when Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company purchased land to cultivate cotton for vehicle tire threads, the city has seen new growth in the 1990s and 2000s, with the population expected to reach 358,000 by 2035.
