Located 16 miles from Cookeville, Livingston is the home of Tennessee Tech University. This beautiful, clean environment has many opportunities for outdoor enjoyment, including Standing Stone State Park and Burgess Falls State Natural Area with its 130-foot waterfall. Nearby is the Cordell Hull Birthplace and Museum, the boyhood home of Cordell Hull, Secretary of State under President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Hull's work establishing the United Nations won him the Nobel Peace Prize in 1945. Also close by is Sgt. Alvin C. York State Historic Park, a tribute to one of the most decorated soldiers of World War I.
