Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries.
• Administer medications and manage medication administration protocols.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding preventive care and wellness.
• Stay updated on advancements in urgent care practices, including dermatology, neurology, pain medicine, psychopharmacology, and radiation therapy.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the urgent care facility.

Experience

• Board certification in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
• Previous experience in an urgent care setting or emergency department is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to urgent care practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
