We are currently seeking a board-certified or board-eligible General Cardiologist or Advanced Cardiac Imaging Cardiologist to join our cardiovascular practice in Rapid City, South Dakota. Our ideal candidate would provide patient-centered, high-quality cardiovascular care in both the inpatient and the outpatient settings. Duties include outpatient cardiology consultation, inpatient cardiology consultation with generous hospitalist/intensivist support, interpretation of transthoracic echo, transesophageal echo, nuclear stress tests, and stress echos. Advanced cardiac imaging skills, including cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, PET/CT, and vascular duplex interpretation, would be desirable but are not required.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Duties are divided equally amongst the Cardiologists, including call
- All night call is home call
- In-house nocturnal APP support for night call coverage
- Approximate weeknight call coverage is 1 in 6 with week-long inpatient rotation approximately 1 in 6 weeks
- Alternating 2-physician day-call/rounds coverage during inpatient rotation with robust inpatient APP support
- Dedicated read days for interpreting inpatient and outpatient cardiac studies
- No clinic while on inpatient rotation
- Maximum expected daily clinic volume is 16 patients per day
