Sanford Health - MN, Mahnomen

Mahnomen Health Center, constructed in 1958 and opened for business in 1959, is an acute care hospital jointly owned by Mahnomen County and the City of Mahnomen. Since 1999, Mahnomen Health Center has been managed by Sanford Health of Fargo, ND. The Center includes an 18-bed hospital and a 48-bed nursing home as well as an ambulance service. Mahnomen Health Center is a member of the Minnesota Hospital Association and the Minnesota Health and Housing Alliance and in July 2009 received a Level IV Trauma designation by the Minnesota Department of Health. Patients, residents, and visitors have access to 24-hour primary care with coordination of care to specialty services, rehabilitation, education and health prevention performed with compassion and courtesy.
Mahnomen, population 1200, is located on the White Earth Indian Reservation in Mahnomen County in the northwest region of Minnesota. The community serves as the seat of Mahnoment County as well as a center for trade, health, education, recreation and tourism for those living within a 40-mile radius.
