My name is Jessilyn Barker, CPRP, Sr. Physician Recruiter, with Sanford Health. I am a driven and detail-oriented professional with 22 years of healthcare experience that includes Marketing and Physician/APP recruitment. My career is built on a foundation of hard work and commitment, developed as a professional who has learned the value of leadership – beginning with respect, building relationships, collaborating, listening, learning, and responding in a purposeful and meaningful manner. 

Every day, I feel a calling for the work that I do, by recruiting qualified/skilled physicians to the communities that Sanford Health serves. I take pride in the fact that I, along with the hiring department, are bringing quality healthcare providers to these communities. Knowing that our communities are being provided quality healthcare and that I played a role in their healthcare is commitment, I have learned the value of leadership – beginning with respect, building relationships, collaborating, listening, learning, and responding in a purposeful and meaningful manner. I can achieve this by continuing my education and career training to develop new skills, staying up-to-date on current trends, and advancing my career.

As the main point of contact, I act as a liaison for Sanford Health and physician candidates who are interested in joining Sanford. Building relationships with residents and medical students who are seeking information about potential employment opportunities is crucial for building a pipeline of future candidates.
