The Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation (CHCC) is an 86-bed, Medicare-certified hospital on the island of Saipan. We are a U.S. commonwealth located in the Western Pacific, a little north of Guam. To learn more about our island and hospital, I invite you to visit our website at saipandoctors.com. I also recommend checking out the website for Marianas Visitors Authority at www.mymarianas.com.
I want to share a couple of other things about CHCC. First of all, our patients are lovely. They are appreciative, generally accepting, polite, and very grateful. Interventions available for them are less than on the mainland, but the patients are equally sick, so flexibility and a can-do attitude is a must.
As for the "corporate culture," one of our physicians volunteered, “[I] enjoy working with my colleagues and hospital administration. I have never been pressured to see more patients, bill more services, or compromise good healthcare in any way. From the top down, everyone’s priority is patient care.” If you want to make a difference and feel like you are contributing to something bigger, there is plenty of opportunity here.
