Job Description

Watauga Pathology Associates, nestled in the Appalachian Mountains of the Southeast region, is seeking a board-certified AP/CP Pathologist to join our growing private practice group of 11 pathologists. We provide comprehensive diagnostic services to a wide range of hospitals, outpatient clinics, surgical centers, and private medical offices, with an academic affiliation with East Tennessee State University. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated pathologist seeking a stable, supportive work environment with potential for long-term growth. This position can be a partnership track or non-partnership track position.

 

About the Position:

  1. General community hospital-based sign-out
  2. Occasional sign-out with East Tennessee State University pathology residents
  3. Frozen sections and rapid on-site cytology evaluations
  4. Occasional tumor boards and cancer conferences
  5. Subspecialty focus (especially hematopathology) is a plus, but not required

Requirements:

  1. MD or DO with AP/CP Board Certification
  2. Current (or eligible for) medical license in Tennessee and Virginia
  3. Excellent diagnostic and communication skills
  4. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
