Carle Health is seeking a BE/BC Internal Medicine orFamily Medicine Physicianto join our Hospital Medicine team at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois and Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center in Hoopeston, Illinois.
Opportunity Details
- Full-time position that will split time between Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana and Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center in Hoopeston (0.5 FTE/0.5 FTE).
- Carle Foundation Hospital is a 509-bed Level I Trauma Center and Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center is a 24-bed Critical Access Hospital.
- Balanced Work Schedule: Enjoy a predictable schedule that promotes work-life balance and gives you time to recharge between shifts; 1 week per month at Hoopeston and 1 week per month at Urbana following a 7 on/7 off schedule.Sick days are allotted from day one, offering you peace of mind. 12-hour shifts; onsite hours vary by facility.
- Onsite specialty support in Hoopeston includes Emergency Medicine, Radiology, and Medical/Surgical Services (no OR/procedures). Telemedicine consultations available if needed. Volume average is ~12 -14 patients split evenly between acute inpatient/observation and swing beds. No ICU or advance care.
- Supportive Infrastructure:At Carle Foundation Hospital (CFH) Urbana, you will work with a closed ICU with no procedures required, freeing you to concentrate on patient management. You will also benefit from dedicated Day and Evening admitting teams and a Triage Team that handles all calls from the ER and Transfer Center, enabling you to spend more quality time with your patients.
- Comprehensive Care Leadership:As a Hospitalist, you’ll lead the charge in managing Rapid Response, Stroke Alerts, Sepsis Alerts, and Behavior Assist calls, working closely with Internal Medicine resident teams. The CCU team handles Code Blue/Code 99/Adult medical codes requiring ACLS, ensuring comprehensive support across the care spectrum.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $345,000 - $527,000. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
