Job Description

Lexington Clinic is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join a well-established community cancer treatment facility in Lexington, Kentucky. Together with Lexington Clinic, Markey Cancer Center operates two full-service community cancer care locations.

This full-time role (Monday–Friday) offers a dynamic mix of inpatient and outpatient care, including hospital rounding, patient evaluations, coordination of care with physicians, consultations, follow-up visits, and participation in the on-call rotation.

The Clinic is seeking an APRN who is compassionate, motivated, and eager to contribute to exceptional cancer care. Previous experience in hematology, medical oncology, or inpatient nursing is highly valued.

Summary of Role

As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), you will partner closely with physicians to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting patient histories and physicals
  • Interpreting clinical data and developing care plans
  • Recommending and coordinating diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Supporting treatment management and follow-up care
  • Building meaningful relationships with patients, families, and colleagues

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program; current APRN licensure in good standing (Kentucky or applicable state)
  • Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) certification or eligibility preferred
  • Prior hematology/oncology or inpatient experience preferred.
  • Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification required.
