Overview:
The VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System is seeking a dynamic, board-certified Radiologist to serve as Chief of Radiology. This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee a comprehensive imaging program that supports the care of our nation’s Veterans in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Radiology Service, including diagnostic imaging, interventional procedures, and teleradiology.
- Supervise a multidisciplinary team of radiologists, technologists, and administrative staff.
- Ensure compliance with VHA policies, Joint Commission standards, and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with clinical departments to optimize imaging services and support patient care.
- Oversee quality assurance, performance improvement, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Participate in clinical duties, including interpretation of imaging studies and performance of procedures.
Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Radiology.
- Active, unrestricted medical license.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
- Eligible for appointment under Title 38 or Hybrid Title 38 authority.
