The Ellis Fischel Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office (CTO) serves as a cornerstone of our research mission, supporting over 180 active clinical trials across MU and more than 20 interventional studies within Ellis Fischel. Backed by leading research infrastructure such as the MU Research Reactor (MURR) and the Roy Blunt NextGen Precision Health Building, Ellis Fischel combines cutting-edge science with patient-centered care from diagnosis to survivorship. This unique leadership opportunity is supported by the Frances T. McAndrew Chair in Oncology Endowment, which provides resources for leadership in oncology clinical research, education, and patient care.
Position Overview
We are seeking a distinguished physician leader to serve as the Deputy Director of the Cancer Center and Associate Division Director of Hematology and Medical Oncology. The successful candidate will have a focus on solid tumors (examples: lung, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, breast). As Deputy Director of EFCC and Associate Director of the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology, this individual will assist the EFCC Director/Division Director in all administrative operations in partnership with MU Health Care.
A key focus of this position will be leading the Solid Tumor Clinical Program for MU Health Care, including supervision of physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) who treat patients with solid tumors and close collaboration with MU Health Care partners across relevant service lines.
As the Deputy Director, the physician will oversee clinical trials in EFCC.
