Overview
Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York, a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a physician assistant to join our Department of Orthopedics.
Description
Bassett Healthcare Network is an integrated health care system that provides care and service to people living in an eight-county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school-based health centers, and health partners in related fields.
This is a vibrant and sophisticated upstate community set in a bucolic lakefront village affording four seasons of cultural and outdoor activity. This village also has an unparalleled and well-appointed community sports center.
Job Description & Responsibilities
- Join an established group of 13 Orthopedic Surgeons and 15 Advanced Practice Clinicians
- Responsibilities will include clinic, hospital floor and OR coverage.
- After the training period, the primary location to be Cooperstown, NY.
- New grads welcome defined ramp up and training
- Salary range: $104,040 - $141,727. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. This range does not include any required call.
- Sign-on bonus up to $50,000
- Additional $20,000 for joining a twice per month call group
Job Qualifications
- National certification as a Physician Assistant
- NYS licensure
- BLS certification required
- DEA required
