The Imaging Service at VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (GLA) is seeking an Interventional Radiologist to join our West Los Angeles VAMC team. As a member of a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive services to veterans. You will have access to advanced technology and a collaborative environment, allowing you to perform a wide range of interventional procedures and contribute to innovative research. Additionally, the role provides opportunities to teach and mentor residents and fellows, fostering the next generation of medical professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attending physician services to inpatient and outpatient clinics.
- Perform interventional procedures, including ultrasound (US), CT, and fluoroscopically guided lumbar puncture, biopsy, or drainage in the neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and musculoskeletal system.
- Perform invasive and non-invasive procedures within an approved scope of practice.
- Participate in the instruction and supervision of radiology residents and fellows.
- Assist in planning and leading teaching conferences for radiology.
- Provide on-call coverage for imaging services on a rotating basis.
- Participate in departmental, care-line, and institutional peer reviews.
- Engage in committees as assigned by the Chief of Imaging Services/Radiology.
- Develop a research program relevant to interventional radiology that benefits veterans’ healthcare needs.
- Obtain a university academic appointment with research productivity commensurate with advancing in the University clinical or research track.
- Supervise and teach rotating fellows, residents, and medical students.
- Coordinate patient care and handle inpatient transfers within the polytrauma system.
- Performance and interpretation of magnetic resonance angiography and CT angiography.

Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine
- Must possess a current, full, and unrestricted license
- Must have completed residency in an accredited core specialty
- Board Certified or Board Eligible

- Salary Range: $350,000—$400,000
- PTO: 50–55 days of PTO annually (26/13 days of annual/sick leave, 11 holidays,)
