Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

Providence Heart Institute at St. Patrick Hospital is seeking a Cardiothoracic Nurse Practitioner to join our nationally recognized cardiac care team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment alongside leading cardiologists and surgeons, delivering advanced care to patients across Western Montana.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with cardiovascular and thoracic conditions.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiac diseases, including pre- and post-operative care.
  • Assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures and provide intraoperative support as needed.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests.
  • Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
  • Educate patients and families on disease management, recovery, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with clinical standards
