Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group is accepting CVs from interested Urologists seeking a PRN Hospitalist opportunity in one of the fastest growing communities on the West Coast of Florida. This is a direct contract position with the employed medical group seeking coverage in the hospital for two weeks out of the month.
Located in the beach town of Venice, FL, this position offers an excellent opportunity, not only to enjoy the sun and sand for the winter months but also working with a collaborative and growing group of five physician partners and five Advanced Practice Providers in a familial work environment for both providers and staff.
Position Highlights:
- 7 on/7 off or 14 on/14 off 12-hour shifts Mon-Thur with night call responsibility Friday through Sunday only.
- Provide hospital coverage at one community hospital.
- Advanced Practice Providers scheduled as first call support 24/7.
- Responsible for hospital-based care of Urology patients; no clinic responsibilities.
- Consult service only; Medical Hospitalists admit from ER.
- Consult volumes average 7-10/day with 3-4 procedures/day.
- Urology is the largest surgical service by case volume in the hospital.

Required Qualifications:
- MD or DO from an accredited school of medicine.
- Completion of an ACGME accredited Urology residency program.
- Active or eligible for a Florida medical license.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology.
