Cardiac Surgery - Cardiovascular Surgery Job at Indiana University Health in Indianapolis, IN

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to joinour CVICUSurgery position at Methodist Hospital.

Position Details:

• Full-Time, Nights, Weekends Sat and Sun and 1 other weekday
• No Call
• Inpatient: 100%

Patient Population:

• Care for pre and post operative cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, transplant and complex cardiac patients in the CVICU and step-down units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Covers 34 bed Cardiovascular Surgery ICU at Methodist Hospital
• Provider will care for pre and post operative patients across cardiovascular surgery, mechanical circulatory support (MCS), thoracic transplant, cardiac medical, and vascular surgery specialties.
• Performing procedures such as intubations, central line placement, and arterial line management.
• Working within a large, collaborative team alongside staff surgeons, intensivists, residents and fellow APP's

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree required
• ACNP,and PAcertification required
• Seeking an experienced APP with prior clinical experience in the ICU.
• Preference will be given to candidates with a background in cardiovascular care.
