Job Description

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Chowan Hospital in Edenton, North Carolina, are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant  to join their regional ECU Health Cancer Care Hematology Oncology practice. Applicants with 2 years of oncology experience are preferred.

ECU Health Cancer Care is the largest provider of oncology services in Eastern North Carolina.

Highlights include: 

  • Employment by ECU Health Physicians
  • 100% outpatient clinical care
  • Established regional oncology practice which includes an infusion suite with 12 infusion spaces, 2 patient exam rooms, a team of experienced nurses and 1 nurse navigators
  • Monday-Friday schedule 8am– 4:30pm-No Call
  • Clinical responsibilities will include seeing patients in the clinical ambulatory setting for follow-ups, survivorship visits, symptom management, medication refills and chemotherapy oversight
  • Provider will be supported with both regional and telemedicine oncology oversight
  • Participation in tumor board conferences
  • Part of our nine-hospital cancer care network that includes a four-hospital ACoS-CoC Integrated Network Cancer Program, an ACoS-CoC Community Cancer Program, and two NAPBC accredited breast centers
  • Support from the ECU Health Cancer Center multidisciplinary team in Greenville, NC which includes medical, radiation and surgical oncology experts

ECU Health Chowan Hospital in Edenton is a 25-bed critical access hospital which provides programs and services to 110,000 people in 6 counties. It offers medical and surgical services, including intensive care, a specialty care clinic and a dedicated outpatient surgery area with endoscopy capabilities. A 7- bed emergency department serves approximately 16,000 patients per year.
