Orthopedic Surgeon Job at Wander Staffing in Oklahoma City, OK

WANDER STAFFING seeks to add two (2) General Orthopedic Surgeons to our Team! These positions are onsite at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center (OKC VAHCS), 921 NE 13TH Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104.

Where:

• Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Health Care System (OKC VAHCS)
• 921 NE 13TH Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104

Pay:

• Regular hours: $350/hour
• On call weekdays: $50/hour
• On call weekends/holidays: $75/hour
• Call back: $400/hour
• For candidates who reside greater than 50 miles from the facility, as determined by permanent address on DL, car registration, or insurance:
• Daily Lodging: Reimbursed up to $200/day with receipts
• Daily Meals and Incidentals: $80

Schedule:

• VA Business Hours: 0800 to 1630, Monday – Friday
• OR Schedule: Up to 5 days a week, 0700 to 1530. Schedule dependent based on OR block schedule availability
• Off-Hours Coverage:
• On-call coverage is required outside of normal hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• On-call provider must be available by phone within 15 minutes of the initial contact and on-site within 60 minutes of notification.

Tentative Start Date:

• Anticipated start date is 1/1/2026 with leeway for security, credentialing, and notice to current employer

Duration of Contract:

• One (1) year with options to extend
• Note: The duration of the contract is between the government and Wander Staffing. As with any position, if life requires you to leave, please provide a 60-day notice.

Requirements:

• Current Medical License in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
• ABOS Board Certified or Board Eligible
• BLS and ACLS
• DEA
• (2) years recent experience in arthroplasty procedures and orthopedic trauma/fracture care
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Must be able to pass a federal background check

Additional Documents Required for Submission:

Duties: Approximately 95% of the role involves direct patient care. Physicians will be responsible for providing Orthopedic care, including:

• Clinical and Surgical care, including, but not limited to arthroplasty procedures and orthopedic trauma/fracture care
• Operative Services
• Intraoperative and Postoperative follow-up
• Clinic Responsibilities
• A full list of CPT codes/surgical procedures is provided upon request

The Oklahoma City VA Medical Center(OKC VAHCS) consists of a 192-operating bed VHA facility located in Central Oklahoma serving 48 Oklahoma Counties and two counties in North Central Texas (Wilbarger and Wichita) with a veteran population of over 225,000. The Oklahoma City VAMC also includes Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) in Lawton, Ardmore, Stillwater, Altus, Ada, Enid, Blackwell, Oklahoma and Wichita Falls, Texas.
