The organization has four acute care hospitals and one specialty hospital that together house over 1,800 hospital beds.

Gulf Coast Medical Center at Lee Health, in partnership with Florida State University, is launching a new 12:12:12 Family Medicine residency program, and we are seeking trailblazing physicians to join our faculty. We are at the dawn of a new GME Academic Enterprise, with new programs in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, and multiple fellowships launching alongside us, building on the success of well-established programs at sister facilities in the Lee Health System.
Faculty positions are available at both Gulf Coast Medical Center campus and the established Lee Memorial campus in order to support the overall Academic Center growth and expansion.
You will be an integral part of shaping our vision, designing an innovative curriculum, and mentoring our growing cohort of Family Medicine residents. Specialized opportunities in Sports Medicine, Obstetrics and Palliative Care may also be available for the right candidate.

Candidate Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Residency Program in Family Medicine as well as respective Board Certification (or Board Eligibility as appropriate).
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Florida, or ability to obtain this prior to start date
- Clear, unrestricted DEA
- Minimum 3 years experience in a teaching or faculty capacity with a graduate medical education program.
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS credentials thru the American Heart Association
