SSM Health Dean Medical Group is recruiting for a part-time (0.7 FTE) Advanced Practitioner (PA/NP) for its Oncology team to provide patient care at both our Baraboo and Madison locations.

Requirements

  • Experience practicing as an Advanced Practitioner in oncology post education required.
  • Masters Degree for Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Unrestricted WI RN and NP licensure or WI PA licensure (or ability to obtain prior to start).
  • Unrestricted Active WI DEA (or ability to obtain prior to start).

Position Highlights:

  • Outpatient clinical practice three (3) days per week; (1-2 days in Baraboo and 1-2 days in Madison).
  • Mileage reimbursement for travel to Baraboo as well as reduced patient contact hours for drive time.
  • Clinic in Baraboo is attached to the hospital; South Madison Campus is a free-standing and recently new multispecialty clinic facility.
  • Anticipated hours from 8am-5pm seeing ~10 patients per day once fully onboarded.
  • Deliver general oncology care in Baraboo as well as subspecialty-based care to patients in Madison.
  • Evaluate patients prior to treatment, sign treatment orders, order lab and imaging tests. Complete survivorship and urgent care visits. Educate patients during treatment teaching appointments.
  • MAs place orders, triage RNs take calls/MyCharts and orders outside of clinic visits.
  • Established and collegial team of APPs and Hematologist/Oncologists.
  • No call, no evenings, no weekends.
