Neonatology Job at Saint Francis Healthcare System in Cape Girardeau, MO

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team to support the region’s largest Level III NICU between Memphis and St. Louis.

Position Details:

• Join a group of 3 board-certified, fellowship-trained neonatologists and 5 Neonatal APPs

• 36 bed NICU, 306 bed Medical Center, 18 LDPR rooms.

• Our team supports a busy, high-volume, high-quality OB service of more than 1,500 births annually.

• NEC: 0% and ROP: 0%

• Supported by the area’s only full-time perinatology service and expert staff of nurses, respiratory therapists, and other specialists trained to detect and avert problems associated with high-risk pregnancies and deliveries.

• Schedule will be 24-hour shifts, 0700-0700 (21 shifts/quarter or approximately 7 shifts/month)

Education:

• Graduate of an approved Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Program for Neonatal Nurses
  
• Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant Program 

Certification & Licensures:

• Credentialed and licensed to practice as an Advanced Practice Neonatal Nurse in the State of Missouri or,
• Credentialed and licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Missouri
• NRP Certification
• BLS Certification

Experience:

• Requires a minimum of two (2) years' experience in neonatal nursing
• Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to read, write and speak in fluent English
