Psychiatrist Job at Mohawk Valley Health System in Utica, NY

Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Behavioral Health team. This part-time, hospital-employed position is an excellent opportunity to provide meaningful mental health care in a supportive, patient-centered outpatient clinic. You’ll work collaboratively with psychiatrist, psychologist, and other behavioral health professionals to deliver high-quality care. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible with a NYS License. We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Position Highlights

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care as needed
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, and medications
• Opportunity to see both adult and child/adolescent populations
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, social workers, and primary care providers
• Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives
• 3 days per week
• Must be on site
• Must have MHNP Certification
• Must have geriatric experience
