Saint Agnes Medical Providers (SAMP) and Saint Agnes Medical Center (SAMC) have an excellent employment opportunity for a full-time OBED Hospitalist in Fresno, California
The OB/GYN Hospitalist Services will be comprised of two OB/GYN physicians each providing 24-hour in-hospital coverage. This coverage may include 12-hour or 24-hour shifts, depending on scheduling needs. Specific duties and responsibilities will be assigned to each physician role. By necessity, to meet the patient coverage needs, some of the duties and responsibilities may overlap on any given shift. It is understood that the two physicians will support and back-up each other as needed. OBGYN Hospitalists supervise Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine residents who rotate through the OB/GYN department. Residents have been found to be helpful in supporting the department even as they learn.
Assignment to either the OB 1 (OB ED) role or the OB 2 (OB Hospitalist/GYN) may vary based on scheduling needs during any given scheduling period.
