Hospitalist Opportunity in Scenic Southern Colorado

Practice Profile

• 49-bed level III trauma center located in Alamosa, Colorado
• Single provider coverage with APP support on day shift
• Average of 18-22 patients per day between physician and APP, average of 3 admits daily
• Clinical affiliation with upstream consultation/referral source Centura for transfers requiring higher level of care
  
• In house general surgery, anesthesia, cardiology, ED physician
• Procedures/Skills needed: Must provide ICU care (6 bed unit with no Intensivist) - paracentesis, thoracentesis, central/art line placement, ventilator management, and intubations — ED physician, General Surgery and CRNA can assist/perform 

Required Profile:  Must be Board certified/Board eligible — Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with a desire and ability to work with a team in a rural health system
