Urgent Care NP/PA to Join our Team in Beautiful Upper Michigan

Job Description

Marshfield Medical Center – Dickinson is seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Iron Mountain, Michigan. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is a skilled member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician, according to Nurse Practitioner/PA Protocol, and within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner/PA License in the State of Wisconsin. This individual works within a cooperative department, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction. 0.6 FTE or 0.9 FTE available.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

 

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

 

Required Education: Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant

 

EXPERIENCE

Preferred/Optional: Two years nursing experience.

 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

 

Minimum Required

  • Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License or Physician Assistant
  • Nurse Practitioner Certification awarded by a national certifying body.
  • Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber Certification awarded by the State of Wisconsin.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of employment.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification awarded by the American Heart Association.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification awarded by the American Heart Association.

 

Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.

 

Marshfield Clinic can support a variety of visas, including J1 waivers (location dependent) and H1Bs (cap exempt organization).
