Medical Director Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site management of the clinical and administrative aspects for the emergency department.
• Manage the quality improvement plan, including attending regular meetings and review of medical records
• Supervise staff, provide feedback, and assure provision of high-quality care
• Review the provider schedule and ensure adequate staffing
• Actively participate in the recruitment and retention of qualified physicians and advanced practice providers
• Serve as liaison between hospital administration and clinical staff and provide regular feedback to IES leadership.

Emergency Department:

• 21,000 annual ED visits
• 24 hours of physician coverage, 10 hours of APP coverage
• 15 ED beds
• 11 regular beds, 4 hallway beds
  
• EMR: EPIC

Required Qualifications:

BC/BE in Emergency Medicine

Active Oklahoma medical license, DEA and BNDD, or ability to obtain

Previous experience as a Medical Director or Assistant Medical Director
