Medical Director Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site management of the clinical and administrative aspects for the emergency department.
• Manage the quality improvement plan, including attending regular meetings and reviewing of medical records
• Supervise staff, provide feedback, and assure provision of high-quality care
• Review the provider schedule and ensure adequate staffing
• Actively participate in the recruitment and retention of qualified physicians and advanced practice providers
• Serve as liaison between hospital administration and clinical staff and provide regular feedback to IES leadership.

Emergency Department:

• Level II Trauma Center
• 75,000 annual patient visits
• 80 hours of physician coverage, 36 hours of EM resident coverage and 36 hours of APP coverage
• ED Beds
• 4 trauma bays
• 12 critical care rooms
• 32 general medical monitored exam rooms (4 dedicated to psych)
• 5 triage stations
• 7 fast track bays
• 1 decontamination room
• Trauma Emergency Center (TEC) admission rate: 40%
• EMR: Epic
• Residents rotate through the ED

Required Qualifications:

BC/BE in Emergency Medicine

Active Oklahoma medical license, DEA and BNDD

Previous experience as an emergency department medical director or assistant medical director
