The Medical Director oversees participant care, ensuring high-quality clinical outcomes and leading the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. This role provides leadership in medical policy development, supervises Primary Care Providers (PCPs), and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care for seniors.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the medical aspects of participant care and supervise medical staff.
- Develop and maintain medical policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Provide clinical leadership in team meetings and support the care of frail or elderly participants.
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and ensure preventive health services.
- Supervise the QAPI program to enhance clinical quality and safety.
- Engage with families and participants to discuss medical conditions and future care planning.
- Ensure culturally sensitive care and advance care planning.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and support collaborative decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active physician license and board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice (Geriatrics preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year experience with the elderly or frail population.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Current BLS certification and DEA registration.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR).
