About the Role
Federal Staffing Resources is seeking a Board-Certified/Eligible Gastroenterologist to provide inpatient and outpatient Gastroenterology services at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. This non-personal services role supports active-duty members, families, and retirees in a mission-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Deliver full-scope GI care including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency consults.
Weekday schedule (0700–1630), approx. 80 hours per two-week period.
Participate in on-call rotation (approx. two weeks/month, including weekends and holidays).
Respond to calls within 15 minutes; report on-site within 60 minutes when called back.
Document care in MHS GENESIS and participate in quality assurance and training.
Qualifications
MD/DO, ABIM Board-Certified or Eligible in Gastroenterology.
Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license (state of performance).
Active DEA and NPI.
BLS and ACLS (or obtain ACLS within 3 months of start).
U.S. Citizenship required.
Immunizations and TB screening per facility policy.
