Occasional Sleep Medicine Physician - Remote Study Interpretation
Covenant HealthCare, a premier health system in Michigan's Great Lakes Bay Region, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Occasional Sleep Medicine Physician to provide remote sleep study interpretations. This position is designed to cover provider vacations and high-volume periods, ensuring uninterrupted, high-quality care for our diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities
- Remote Sleep Study Interpretation: Conduct timely and accurate interpretation of sleep studies for both adult and pediatric patients of all ages, providing coverage as needed for physician absences or increased patient volume.
- Studies must be read and interpreted within 7 days of the study date.
- Studies will be read remotely utilizing Cadwell software via Citrix and the EnsoData web-based platform.
- An expected set amount of monthly reads will be required to maintain proficiency with systems and processes.
- Comprehensive Study Coverage: Must be qualified and comfortable reading the full range of studies offered by the center, including:
- Polysomnography (PSG)
- PAP titration
- Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT)
- Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT)
- PAP NAP, iVAPS, ASV, and Inspire studies
Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Sleep Medicine (or relevant primary specialty with Sleep Medicine certification).
- Licensure: A current, unrestricted Michigan medical license is required. Full credentialing through Covenant HealthCare will be necessary (this process typically includes verification of licensure, education, training, malpractice history, and more).
- Expertise: Demonstrated comfort and expertise in reading and interpreting sleep studies across the entire patient demographic, from pediatric to geriatric patients.
- Technical Proficiency: Must be proficient or willing to become proficient in utilizing the remote interpretation platforms (Cadwell via Citrix and EnsoData).
