Orthopaedic Surgery Job at SSM Health in Madison, WI

SSM Health Dean Medical Group - Orthopedics - West Madison is actively recruiting a full-time (1.0 FTE)Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant to join the Orthopedic Surgery Hand and Upper Extremity department.The department consists of 3 physicians and 3 Aps. Primary responsibilities will include outpatient clinic and surgical assisting.

Opportunity Highlights:

• Weekly schedule will be Four (4) days per week with variable hours; details to be determined based on department needs.
• Call including weekdays and weekends rotated with orthopedic group approx. 1:16.
• Position is 75% clinic-based with about 25% of OR responsibilities.
• Opportunity to work independently alongside the Hand Surgeons.
• Potential for some outreach days.
• Hospital privileges at SSM Health St. Marys Hospital in Madison.

Requirements:

• Masters degree in physician assistant with PA-C.
• Experience in Orthopedic Surgery post education or Orthopedic Surgery clinical rotations.
• Prefer first-assist OR experience.
• Wisconsin PA license and Wisconsin DEA.
