Job Title: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

Reports to: Medical Director

Status: Full-Time, Exempt

We’re seeking a passionate and skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our patient-centered medical team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering exceptional care, fostering wellness, and empowering patients to lead healthier lives.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you’ll have the autonomy to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of conditions while collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and support staff. We’re looking for someone who values teamwork, compassionate care, and continuous professional growth.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Examine patients and their medical records
  2. Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
  3. Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
  4. Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
  5. Prescribe medications
  6. Maintain accurate records and schedules
  7. Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
  8. Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention
  9. Oversee patients’ overall health
  10. Promote good health practices
  11. Advance professional knowledge and conduct research
  12. Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  1. Certified Nurse Practitioner or PA (Required)
  2. DEA license (Required)
  3. Controlled Substance License  (Required)
  4. Experience as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a clinic, hospital, ER or other setting preferred.
  5. Expertise in primary care, acute care and chronic care practices
  6. Must possess a Medical License through the State of New Mexico
  7. CPR Certification for Healthcare/BLS Providers or Professional Rescue
  8. Ability to obtain malpractice insurance
  9. Master’s degree; PhD is a plus

 

Physical Demands Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  1. Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work

  Salary Range- $10,000 to $20,000 ( depending on productivity bonus )
