TGMG Geriatrics is a team within TGMG that works directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities. This role will function in a hybrid capacity, rounding in Skilled Nursing Facilities and working/charting from home as well.

Under general supervision and in accordance with established policies, procedures, and professional standards, provides medical care to patients. Plans and coordinates medical care, thoroughly documenting medical evaluations while identifying and referring cases that require further intervention. Formulates and communicates goals and plans of care, ensuring the protection of patient rights. Responsible for performing duties in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital. Oversees and supports assigned Advanced Practice Providers within the department. Provides rotating On-call coverage shared among the Geriatric Team.  

Qualifications

• Board Certified Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Hospitalist, or Geriatrics physician
• Skilled Nursing Facility experience
• Preferred: Experience with Geriatric & Palliative patients
• Must have or obtain an active Florida medical license before starting
