Dartmouth Health’s Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a skilled and versatile General Anesthesiologist to join our team, practicing in a hybrid model that has the potential to include both academic and community hospital settings. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality perioperative care in a supportive academic environment, while also serving our community through solo and group practice settings. Ideal candidates are adaptable, patient-focused, and committed to excellence in anesthesia care across diverse patient populations.
All community hospitals are located within a 30-mile radius, offering easy, congestion-free commutes and a highly manageable travel experience between sites.
Beyond a Traditional Academic Role - This Position Offers:
Deliver expert anesthesia care for adult, older pediatric, and adolescent patients across both academic and community hospital settings.
Work across multiple specialties- including general surgery, orthopedics, endoscopy, eyes, robotics etc .
Manage a range of anesthesia cases, from solo procedures including regional blocks to collaborative ACT team-based cases.
Take an active role in Operating Room leadership and management at community sites.
Mentor and teach the next generation of physicians through resident and medical student education.
Drive quality, safety, and protocol development initiatives within the department.
Flexible schedule available, splitting time between Tertiary Academic Hospital and community locations.

Required Licensure/Certifications
Board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology.
Eligible for medical licensure in New Hampshire and Vermont.
Experience or interest in both academic and community practice settings.
Excellent clinical judgment, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Commitment to continuous learning and patient-centered care.
