Job duties

  • Deliver high-quality medical care to hospitalized patients, conducting initial assessments, daily rounds, and ongoing management.
  • Perform thorough physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations to formulate precise diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care, involving nurses, specialists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests to aid in patient diagnosis and management.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments tailored to individual patient needs, following evidence-based guidelines.
  • Monitor patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed for optimal outcomes and timely discharge.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and follow-up care plans.
  • Accurately document patient care activities in the electronic medical record system.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

  • MD/DO with unrestricted medical license required.
  • Board Certification or board eligible in Internal Medicine/Family Medicine Required
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in an in-patient healthcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of the health and aging process
  • Demonstrates practical interpersonal communication skills.
  • Brings an innovative approach to work, can “think outside the box.”
  • Takes a team approach in accomplishing treatment goals.
  • Possesses strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment in anticipating problems or adverse outcomes; takes appropriate corrective action.
