Advance Community Health is recruiting additional Primary Care Physicians that have a focus in adult medicine. The position is responsible for providing primary care services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating, and educating patients. Works closely with other physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical and administrative support staff in a team-based approach to patient care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provides primary care services to clinic patients including:
- Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical histories, reports, and examination results.
- Conducting physical examinations and routine office-based procedures.
- Order and interpret the results of laboratory, x-ray and other tests.
- Provide treatment plans and prescribe medications for issues/diseases of the female organs.
- Monitor results of treatment, changing as necessary.
- Maintain accurate, complete records that comply with contracts and/or Advance Community Health policies.
- Displays sensitivity to the populations served.
- Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with clinical evidence-based guidelines for adult health care.
- Having the ability to develop a positive rapport with patients and families to foster the physician/patient relationship.
- Perform related duties as required.
- Immunize patients from communicable diseases.
- Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners for specialized treatment
- Opportunity to precept and mentor Advanced Practice Providers
Ideal candidate will have the following:
- Medical Degree or D.O. from an accredited school.
- An active, unrestricted NC medical license, or the ability to obtain one;
- Must be a Board Eligible/ Board Certified Physician.
- Preferred Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records system.
- Completed residency training (REQUIRED)
- Minimum of two years experience in primary care (PREFERRED).
