Location: Remote (Serving Milwaukee and Green Bay, WI)

Position Overview
We are seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners to provide psychiatric consultative services through telemedicine for micro-hospitals and emergency room settings across Wisconsin. This role focuses on completing psychiatric assessments, medication recommendations, and treatment planning in collaboration with on-site clinical teams. This position offers flexible scheduling, remote work, and competitive contractor compensation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations for patients in acute or crisis settings via telemedicine
Provide diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication recommendations
Document consult findings clearly and accurately in the electronic medical record
Consult with attending physicians, nursing staff, case managers, and emergency department teams
Support safe and appropriate stabilization and transition of care plans
Maintain high standards of professionalism, clinical judgment, and confidentiality
Participate in clinical coordination as needed to support continuity of care
Qualifications
Required:
Active and unrestricted Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in the State of Wisconsin
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing with psychiatric specialization
Minimum 1 year of experience providing psychiatric care (inpatient, outpatient, emergency, or community mental health) preferred
Experience with psychotropic medication prescribing and crisis assessment
Comfortable working independently and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
Preferred:
Experience in acute care, emergency department, or crisis response settings
Multi-state licensure or willingness to pursue additional licenses (optional)
Compensation
1099 independent contractor structure
Paid on a per-consult or per-shift basis (rate discussed during interview)
