This is your opportunity to help shape the future of cancer and blood disorder care for children across the region.
About the Role:
As part of our pediatric hematology/oncology team, you’ll provide compassionate, expert care to children with complex hematologic and oncologic conditions. You’ll be a vital partner to physicians, nurses, social workers and other specialists — working together to deliver personalized treatment and hope for every family we serve.
About Our Program:
· We provide comprehensive care for children across northwest Arkansas, as well as parts of northeastern Oklahoma and southwestern Missouri
· Our team practices in a modern, fully equipped outpatient clinic staffed by nurses specializing in pediatric hematology and oncology. Here, we see the full spectrum of conditions managed by pediatric hematology/oncology physicians
· Beginning in January 2026, our clinic will be integrated with a state-of-the-art outpatient infusion center, offering transfusion services, chemotherapy administration, and sedation for procedures including lumbar punctures and bone marrow aspirations/biopsies
· Inpatient chemotherapy is delivered at our modern children’s hospital, which will expand to 40 beds in 2026. Patients benefit from 24/7 pediatric hospitalist coverage and nursing care provided by APHON-certified chemotherapy nurses
· Our physicians provide both in-person and telephone consultative services to the ACNW Emergency Department and inpatient hospitalist team
· We are actively engaged in national research initiatives through the Children’s Oncology Group, POETIC, NACHO, and industry-supported clinical trials
· We collaborate closely with teams at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock in the care of patients with bleeding disorders, vascular anomalies, sickle cell disease and neuro-oncology
· On-site specialty nursing support is available for all clinic-related activities, while research nursing support is dedicated to advancing our clinical trials and research initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
