IU Health Physiciansis seeking anOrthopedic Trauma Surgeonto join our dynamic team at a bustling level 1 academic trauma center. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in orthopedic trauma care and a passion for teaching and research within an academic setting. The position offers the opportunity to work on complex cases in a high-energy environment while contributing to the education of orthopedic residents and fellows.
Position Details:
- Level 1 trauma center- call coverage shared among group
- Monday- Friday, 1 day clinic weekly, 1 block day, weekend call variable
- IU Health Methodist Hospital
- ~20% Outpatient / 80% inpatient
- Responsibilities include:
- Adult patient population- serving level 1 trauma center downtown Indianapolis
- Proficiency in managing and surgically treating pelvis and acetabular fractures as well as expertise in repairing articular fractures and long bone injuries
Qualifications:
- DO or MD
- Fellowship trained in Orthopaedic Trauma
- ABOS BE/BC in the United States
- Ability to acquire Indiana medical license
- Graduating fellows and experienced BC physicians encouraged to apply
