Job Description

The Southeast Louisiana VA Health Care Network is dedicated to advocating for a whole health system of care in each of our Medical Centers. Diagnostic Imaging Chief Key Responsibilities:

  • Typical shift M-F, 7:30am-4:00pm, shared call
  • Position is 70-80% administrative; 20-30% clinical
  • Generally, outpatient with varying inpatient imaging requests
  • Effective and efficient management/supervision of SLVHS radiology programs/services
  • Exercising administrative, programmatic, clinical, and academic oversight of radiology programs to ensure delivery of quality, patient-focused clinical services
  • Review and evaluate professional performance, competence, and professionalism of all individuals with clinical privileges
  • Assures all performance measures are met

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: $225,000 - $400,000
  • Generous Paid Time Off: 50-55 days per year, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and potential 5-day paid absence for CME.

    Preferred Experience:
  • Board Certified in Radiology.
  • Additional fellowship training in one of the radiology specialties preferred
  • Prior radiology leadership experience required
  1. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
  2. Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia.
