Summa Health is seeking a board certified/board eligible Hospice & Palliative physician to join our team of 9 Physicians and 10 Advanced Practice Providers. This will be a palliative role in medical oncology. The selected candidate will become a member of Summa Health Medical Group, a multi-specialty group practice of 400+ physicians employed by the Summa Health System.

Opportunity Highlights
· Full-time, Benefit Eligible
· Outpatient work setting at our main Akron campus within the Cooper Cancer Center, no night call
· Weekend Call Rotation 1:5 – about 10 weekends per year
· Employed position offering competitive compensation, benefit package and incentives such as signing bonus, education loan assistance, relocation, and CME allowance
· One of the first programs in Ohio with Joint Commission certification in Advanced Palliative Care
· Team-based work with interdisciplinary teams including Pain and Palliative pharmacists, nurse program coordinators, social workers and pastoral care department
· Partnership with community based hospice and includes care of general inpatient hospice patients in the hospital’s acute palliative inpatient unit
· Large, established, referral base within the medical group, ACO and community partners
· Active involvement in medical student, resident and fellowship education
· Epic System EMR
Candidate Requirements
· Board Certified/Eligible in Hospice & Palliative Medicine
· Fellowship trained in Hospice & Palliative Medicine
· Current and unrestricted license in the State of Ohio, or willing to obtain
· Compassionate, caring demeanor with patients, families, and staff
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
