Convenient Care Advanced Practice Nurse - Rochelle, IL

Rochelle Community Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital, includes a Multi-Specialty Clinic and a Fitness Center offering a variety of health and wellness services for the surrounding community. As an employee of Rochelle Community Hospital, the .8FTE Convenient Care Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) will receive competitive compensation, approximately $75 per hour, with a $40,000 sign-on bonus.   

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) will work collaboratively with the designated physician and is responsible for focused immediate care to a specific group of patients. The Advanced Practice Nurse assesses patients for minor illnesses and injuries across the lifespan, determines diagnosis and treatment plans, and educates patients and their families on diagnoses, prevention of health problems/complications. The Advanced Practice Nurse seeks opportunities for professional growth through participation in continuing education and staff development programs. APN responsibilities must be accomplished within the guidelines of the institution as developed in collaboration with the physician and administrators. 

Education/Experience

• Active RN and APRN certification and licensure including prescriptive authority in Illinois.
• Masters or Doctorate designation from an accredited nursing program.
• Must be currently BLS Certified.
• Two (2) years of related clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Must be in good physical and mental health and able to work under pressure.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to operate designated computer equipment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
• Aptitude for calculating correct medication doses.
