Dermatologist Job at Banner Health in Tucson, AZ

Banner University Medical Group is growing and interviewing Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants to provide exceptional patient care services as part of the Dermatology team. The position provides an excellent opportunity to work with a robust team offering different procedure types and complexity levels. They will also assist in working up consults and managing patients.

• Evaluation of the daily schedule of procedures to determine where skills set will be best utilized.
• Participation in patient case management including prescribing additional procedures.
• Administration and order management of medications.

Practice Highlights

• Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Daytime Hours (One Hour 4 hour block per week for Admin time)
• No Call
• 100% Ambulatory; Outpatient Only
• Performs comprehensive skin, hair, and nail examinations and formulates dermatologic diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Obtains and reviews dermatologic and general medical histories, ensuring thorough and accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests such as skin biopsies, fungal cultures, blood work, and imaging studies as appropriate for dermatologic conditions.
• Determines and implements evidence-based treatment plans for a wide range of acute and chronic dermatologic conditions (e.g., acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections, and skin cancers).
• Monitors patient progress, evaluates treatment effectiveness, and modifies care plans as clinically indicated.

• Bolstering our Clinical Presence in the Community.

Minimum Qualifications

• NP/PA Certification is required. (Open to New Grads)
• Experience performing Dermatologic Procedures is preferred but not required. On the job training will be provided as needed.
• Ability to work with physicians as well as residents and fellows.
