Job Description

The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University and Temple University Health System is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Surgical Pathologist and Cytopathologist to join its dynamic and collegial faculty.

We are looking for a candidate with demonstrated expertise in general surgical pathology and cytopathology, ideally gained in a setting that offers exposure to a broad spectrum of gross and microscopic examinations of resected surgical specimens and biopsies. Subspecialty interest in gastrointestinal, breast, head & neck pathology, or related areas is highly desirable.

Candidate Qualifications

  • M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent
  • Board certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology and/or Cytopathology
  • Board-eligible candidates must complete certification within one year of hire
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania
  • Fellowship training in a subspecialty area is preferred
