Position: Nuclear Medicine Physician (PET/CT)
Location: Lexington, KY
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Overview
We are hiring a Board-Certified Nuclear Medicine Physician to lead PET/CT and SPECT/CT services at a modern imaging department in Lexington, KY. You’ll collaborate with technologists and a physicist to deliver diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
Responsibilities
Interpret and oversee PET/CT and SPECT/CT studies, including:
Neurology, oncology, cardiology, infection, and endocrine imaging
Provide oversight for radioisotope therapies, including:
I-131 ablation and hyperthyroid therapy
Pluvicto, Lutathera, and Xofigo
Offer clinical supervision for technologists and coordinate with support staff
Participate in QA, peer review, and safety protocols
Equipment
PET/CT: GE Discovery
SPECT/CT: GE Optima
Requirements
MD or DO with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license (any state)
Board Certified in Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) or Radiology with Nuclear focus (ABR)
Authorized User (AU) or AU-eligible under 10 CFR 35.300
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Active DEA and NPI
Strong background in PET and radioisotope therapy
Preferred
Experience in multidisciplinary imaging teams
Familiarity with advanced PET tracers and therapeutic isotopes
