Our dynamicHospitalist group has an opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team.
Opportunity Details
- Full-time, Night Shift, FLOAT
- This position will be expected to work at all of our locations across the IndianapolisMetro area (IU Health Methodist, University, North, Fishers and West)
- Primarily responsible forfilling in long-term vacancies and is usually assigned at theirlocation several weeks or months at a time.
- Night shift varies at each location, but it is designed as either 2P-2A, 4P-4A or 6P-6A
- APP's will work 3-12-hour shifts every week, every third weekend, one major summer holiday (Memorial Day, Labor Day) and one major winter holiday (Christmas/ Thanksgiving) each year. (We realize this requires lots of flexibility on the APP, and we will work hard on your personal preferences and schedule)
- No Call
- 100% inpatient
- Team includes 20physicians and 5advanced practice providers
Key responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for completing admissions from the Emergency Department
- Occasionally receive IM consult requests from other services (General Surgery) and transfers or direct admission from other facilities.
- Work as part of the night team to help with cross-cover overnight, answering patients from nursing staff regarding all of our patients in the hospitals.
Qualifications
- Master's degree required
- Must be board certified or eligible
- ACNP, AGNP, FNP, or PAcertification required
- At least 1 year of inpatient experience preferred
- Acute Care Setting- Hospitalist or ICU but APP with experience in Nephrology, Cardiology, Pulmonary, and ID would also be considered.
