Seeking a board-certified Family Medicine physician for a faculty position in a large, innovative family medicine residency program. The Alaska Family Medicine Residency (AKFMR) offers a rigorous curriculum to prepare residents for full-scope Family Medicine, with an emphasis on rural and underserved communities. Most training occurs in Anchorage, Alaska caring for a diverse, underserved urban population. The patients in clinic speak>90 languages. All residents spend time in remote rural Alaska, working in small communities off the road system. The program's graduates currently work in all settings including outpatient, ER, OB, inpatient adult & peds, ICU, and fellowships. As an integral member of the AKFMR faculty, you will be in an advisory role to residents while also taking part in clinical duties such as precepting residents in clinic, direct patient care, outpatient prenatal and pediatric care supervision, inpatient care and more.
