Job Description

Position Title: Director, Outpatient OB-GYN Clinic
Institution: Stamford Hospital, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology
Location: Stamford, Connecticut

Position Overview:
The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Stamford Hospital is seeking a dedicated physician to serve as Director of our Outpatient OB-GYN Clinic. This leadership role offers a unique opportunity to shape the clinical, educational, and programmatic direction of our resident-based outpatient practice while building a specialty-focused gynecology career within a dynamic, university-affiliated community hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide clinical leadership and oversight of the OB-GYN resident outpatient clinic.
  2. Supervise and mentor residents in patient care, professional development, and evidence-based practice.
  3. Coordinate multidisciplinary care with subspecialty providers in Gynecologic Oncology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Family Planning.
  4. Develop a gynecology practice within the hospital’s Women’s Specialty Center.
  5. Lead the development of a comprehensive Menopause & Midlife Health Program, integrating institutional resources to provide multidisciplinary care.
  6. Participate in the development of a referral-based gynecologic surgical practice with mentorship available.
  7. Contribute to quality, safety, and patient-centered initiatives in outpatient women’s health.

Qualifications:

  1. MD or DO degree and board certification/eligibility in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
  2. Strong commitment to resident teaching and academic development.
  3. Interest or experience in menopause and midlife women’s health strongly preferred.
  4. Eligibility for Connecticut medical licensure.
